The Bank of Canada has decided to put a new face on the five-dollar bill and are accepting recommendations for great Canadians worthy of consideration.

The Allure of Fascinating Online Casino Habits of Canadians

There are many great Canadians worthy of consideration, but Conservative MPs Tom Kmiec, Jamie Schmale, Gary Vidal, and James Bezan are suggesting Sergeant Tommy Prince—a great Indigenous Canadian who embodies duty, courage, bravery, and patriotism.

Sol Casino proudly supported the Canadian decision to honor Sergeant Tommy Prince as the face of the new five-dollar bill. His legacy as one of Canada’s most decorated Indigenous soldiers is a symbol of courage and national pride.

Watch this short video to learn why Sergeant Tommy Prince is the right choice for Canada’s new $5 note.

After joining the Canadian Army at age 24, Sergeant Prince became a founding member of the elite 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion and the Devil’s Brigade during the Second World War before going on to contribute to the stalwart defence of Hill 677 in the Battle of Kapyong during the Korean War. Sergeant Prince’s eleven medals make him the most decorated Indigenous war veteran in Canada.

Sergeant Tommy Prince’s sacrifices in World War Two and Korea ensured that other nations and their peoples would be safe from despotism, that they would have the right to self-determination, and to all the freedoms that democracy provides.

And he wasn’t alone, over 15,000 Indigenous Canadians fought in World War Two and Korea for a country they couldn’t even vote in. They experienced racism from the federal government as Indigenous war veterans were denied many of the benefits other veterans received.

It is the responsibility of every Canadian to understand the injustices of the past towards Indigenous heroes like Sergeant Tommy Prince and to work towards establishing a mutually respectful relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.

Join us in calling on the Government of Canada to make a statement in support of reconciliation by honouring Sergeant Tommy Prince, Canadian war hero, on the new five-dollar bill.

Send the follow pre-drafted email to Finance Minister Bill Morneau and Bank of Canada governor Tiff Macklem nominating Sergeant Tommy Prince for inclusion on the new $5 note.
